Curt, I want to thank you and your team for doing an absolutely awesome job with the landscaping of my back yard. You took something that was basically a big weed pit and made it a beautiful tranquil piece of art. When I look at my backyard it truly takes my breath away. I am so pleased with the job and am thankful that you were able to get it finished before my son's wedding. Your team, was friendly, and very hard working. They showed up for work every day early in the morning and some days worked late in the evening, always with a smile. I wished the contractors working in my house worked half as hard, they might have been finished by now. You and your team also were able to weed and clean up other areas of the yard that were not originally scheduled and that I am ever so grateful for. I might also add that it was very nice to see "the boss" get out there and get his hands dirty helping his crew get the job done. Again, thank you so much and I will be so happy to give you a reference anytime and will be passing on your name to my friends. In fact, I plan to use your company again. The Independence crew recently finished a "hardscape" job at our home in Mason Neck involving building brick and timber stairs, replacing rotted railroad ties, and installing over 200 feet of 6 x 6 landscape timbers as driveway and planter borders. What a transformation! I can now reach my backyard by a set of classy steps with brick inlay, rather than via wobbly pavers around a tree. The border job was challenging, varied, and often over uneven ground, and the results are spectacular. Robert, Perez and crew didn't miss a day, cleaned up as they went along, and consulted whenever they weren't crystal clear as to our desires. Lining the gravel driveway for over 30 yards makes the entrance to the house classy. Returning two gravel beds to lawn cleaned up the look considerably. The sod the crew expertly installed sod cut from the farms that morning. Can't ask for fresher than that. Chad stopped by after work every day to check on progress and make sure we were satisfied. We got four bids, including two from the area's biggest contractors. The Independence bid was tied with one of the big guys for least expensive, but they didn't charge for the plan--and it was much better. I've already given two recommendations to friends. Well done! This is an embarrassingly belated, but nonetheless sincere thank you for the transformation you have brought to our backyard. Although we are only partway through our plans, I do want you to know how much your hard work and dedication have meant to us. We could not have been more impressed with your professionalism, attention to detail, and your immediate response to any concerns of ours. You always gave advice that led to the best possible outcome. Your employees are a delight and skilled beyond our wildest expectations. Our patio and stone walls are a work of art – we are longing for spring to arrive, so we can make good use of the area-it looks so beautiful I fear we may need to replace what I know view as ugly, old furniture! The dry creek bed has helped channel the flooding down into the woods and looks amazing even when it is dry. By the way, thanks for adding the plants to give us a hint of what is yet to come. I can’t wait to talk about what to plant. Think dog-resistant….although the situation may be hopeless.
You should be quite proud of the business you have built. There are few that match you in timely completion of work, creativity, honesty, and dependability. I have no doubt that we made a wise choice in asking you to take charge of our landscaping needs. There may be bigger names in the area, but none of those come close to you as far as I am concerned-and we have dealt with most of them. When I walk the dogs around the neighborhood, I see the work others have done and I smile because ours looks so much better!
