At Independence, we developed and tested our Lawn Care Program over many years, operating exclusively in Northern Virginia. Our hybrid program uses a combination of top-quality organic and synthetic products that have proven most effective in our unique climate and soil conditions. We’ve carefully fine-tuned the products, quantities and sequence of our treatments to cultivate healthy, vibrant lawns that last.
Expertise You Can Trust
Our Lawn Care Program consists of 10 treatments, applied strategically over eight visits by our Licensed Technicians. Each Licensed Technician has years of experience and expertise, and will carefully assess your lawn’s needs and tailor treatments accordingly. We do our best to send the same friendly face every visit.
Our treatments include fertilizer, pre-emergent crabgrass control, broadleaf weed control, grub and insect control, winterizer, limestone and an annual pH test. Applying the proper amount of each product is crucial.
Should you have any questions or concerns, you have a dedicated point of contact, your Account Manager. He knows the Lawn Care Program inside and out, and will quickly get acquainted with the nuances of your property. You can expect responsive, personalized care.
Aeration & Overseeding: The Perfect Pair
Because we are pursuing lasting results for your lawn, we only offer our Lawn Care Program together with our Aeration & Overseeding service, which is completed once a year in the late Summer through Fall.
These services depend on each other: the Lawn Care Program treatments work all year to ensure the conditions are right for Aeration & Overseeding, and the new growth is then sustained by the Lawn Care Program. Aeration relieves compacted soil and allows water, air and nutrients to reach your lawn’s root system. Overseeding brings a burst of new growth, a vital step toward achieving a thick, green lawn.
Patience Pays Off
Our Lawn Care Program is a process, not a quick fix. It’s normal for things to look worse before they look better, as cycles of weeds are killed off and turn patchy. Most lawns reach their full potential after 12 to 18 months in our Lawn Care Program, often following the second annual cycle of Aeration & Overseeding.
