Amy’s Backyard Retreat

When Amy and Derek wanted to transform their boring, sloped Alexandria backyard into a resort-style retreat, they turned to Independence Landscape for help. Overcoming challenges like a steep slope and drainage issues, our team created a 1,008-square-foot custom patio, complete with a sleek outdoor kitchen and a gas fire pit area that seats up to 10 guests. To address drainage concerns, we installed a landscaped dry creek bed that adds both functionality and visual appeal. 

Amy collaborated closely with our co-founder, Chad Evans, to bring her vision to life, selecting everything from patio materials to lighting. She describes the process as seamless, with easy communication, daily updates and a professional crew delivering her vision from concept to completion.
